An Ideal Environment
The warm water therapy pool takes advantage of water’s interactive properties: buoyancy and resistance. Buoyancy reduces the effects of gravity; it creates a protective environment for joints and provides support for injuries. Three dimensional resistance facilitates strengthening for all muscles. The intensity can be varied to accommodate a wide range of physical abilities.
Imagine yourself floating and supported in the water, being gently stretched and moved in circular or wave like patterns that liken the flow of a quiet mountain stream or the spiraling ebb and flow of the ocean. This is Aquatic Bodywork. An inclusive term used to describe a variety of water relaxation forms scheduled through The Marsh Spa and offered in our 94 degree warm water pool. Come sink into the comfort, as one of our four seasoned aquatic bodywork practitioners guide you through combinations of Watsu, Healing Dance, and Aquatic Integration, three different, but related water work forms that assist in increasing relaxation, spinal decompression, flexibility, emotional balance & meditative calm.
Aquatic Personal Training
Work one-on-one with a personal trainer skilled in water exercise to improve function and performance. Goals of training can be diverse, including improvement of balance, strength, posture, gait, flexibility, or stamina. Single session and packages available.
