Are you interested in discovering more about how yoga can help you feel happier and more clear-minded? Would you like to experience more intuition and flow and less rumination on unhelpful thoughts? This course draws on teachings from yoga texts, integrating western thinkers and philosophers, to provide a practical approach to cultivating a positive psychology. The class includes meditation and gentle yoga so wear comfortable clothing.
Instructor, Debbie Cohen, is a graduate of the esteemed Applied Positive Psychology program from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught Positive Psychology at Harvard and Kripalu Yoga Center. She also leads the Yoga Teacher Training at The Marsh and has been teaching yoga since 1996. She has trained at the World Yoga Center in New York, at SVYASA in South India and Kripalu. She currently works with the U of M Psychiatry Department’s Integrative Wellness Program as a mind-body trainer and teaches Positive Psychology at The Marsh.
