Strength and Stretch for Osteoporosis

Tuesdays, 02/20/2018 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday, February 20 (Therapy Pool) & Tuesday, February 27 (Studio), 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

One of the most important things you can do to prevent or reduce the effects of osteoporosis or osteoarthritis is to maintain a regular exercise routine. Unfortunately, exercise can be a challenge with this condition. Aquatic therapy can help, which is why our first session is in our Therapy Pool. Warm water serves as a safety net, providing a comfortable place for exercise without increasing risk for falls. The following week we will explore land-based movements that will help increase your strength and improve your balance. Instructor: Mary LeSourd.
