Whether you are a new mom or an active mature woman, weakening of the pelvic floor muscles can happen to any of us. In Pilates, the pelvic floor muscles are used in their role as a natural muscular support for movement. This is a firm and sustained engagement of the muscles which pull the pelvic floor “in and up” as part of the whole “core” experience.
