Thursday, 09/19/2019 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 19, 6:30 p.m.

The decision to undergo orthopedic surgery is a big one. More and more options exist to avoid or postpone surgery, as science and experimental research on stem cells and other regenerative approaches have increased exponentially in the last decade. Dr. Crider discusses the full spectrum of conservative care using these non-surgical options. He will shed light on the pros and cons, separate fact from fiction and educate us on the new paradigm of repairing orthopedic wear-and-tear using your own stem cells and growth factors. Although there is still more research needed, these interventions appear promising as an alternative to surgery for many.

Dr. Crider specializes in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. A Macalester College graduate, he earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, and has specialty training as a physiatrist.
