The loss of brain health commonly associated with aging can be devastating. Beyond the personal toll on patients and their families, deteriorating cognitive and mental health affects all of us. But new insights from the medical community are promising!

We welcome back neurologist and Marsh member Dr. Richard Golden to share his wisdom on brain health and the latest research which indicates that cognitive training has the ability to prevent neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia. Dr. Golden will cover issues including dementia, neuropathy, the importance of balance, and deterioration of the five senses.

After Dr. Golden’s presentation, physical therapist Doug Merz will follow with an explanation of the importance of physical activity as it relates to slowing and staying safe during the aging process. Doug will also demonstrate a simple risk assessment and interactive brain stimulating activities.
