FUEL FOR SUCCESS – GRIT Away Inches from Your CORE!

Tuesdays, 05/22/2018 9:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

A six-week group nutrition and fitness program

A flat stomach is hard to achieve for both genders. Especially as we age, more piles up around the middle. This is not only bad for swimsuit season, it is bad for your health.
The powerful combination of GRIT and Nutrition guidance is a recipe for success. High intensity interval training is proven by research to have tummy trimming benefits far beyond a regular cardio workout.
Designed for those working out at a high intensity 2-3 times a week, this program provides pre- and post- health assessments and a series of Nutrition Talks led by Marsh Registered Dietitian Bobbi Horner.

FUEL FOR SUCCESS Program Schedule

Tuesdays, 9:15 – 9:45 a.m. or 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. with the following topics:

May 22: Kick-off Meeting! Learn about the program, get your personal results tracking notecards and schedule or do your initial health assessments:  strength test, weight, waist circumference, skin fold test for % body fat.  Assessments can also be done by appointment. Call the training center (952-930-8529) and ask to schedule a “fuel for success” test.

May 29: Why Do We Store Fat in Our Belly Area? Stress, sleep, food, hormones and exercise will all affect where we store our body fat. Storing excess fat in our abdominal region increases our risk for many health conditions.

June 5: Are Abs Really Made in the Kitchen? Once again, sugars and processed foods tend to be the enemy when it comes to belly fat. Even to many so called “good carbs” can be stored in our middle. It’s important to find the right balance of protein, fats and fibers to balance out a nutrition plan

June 12: Hiit Exercise to Blast Belly Fat? Just doing sit-ups will not get us a flat stomach or decrease body fat. High intensity interval training has been proven to help burn body fat and decrease abdominal fat

June 19: How Do Stress and Sleep Affect Belly Fat? Stress hormones play a large role in storing fat in our mid-section. Sleep is when your body rests and repairs and resets hormones.

Week of June 26: Post-program health assessments: Strength, weight, waist circumference, skin fold test for % body fat.
