In this summer sampler series, Marsh Registered Dietitian Bobbi Horner interprets science, debunks myths and provides easy-to-implement nutrition tips to help you feel better and have more energy this summer. This nutrition program’s six-week program provides pre- and post-health assessments and a series of nutritional talks covering the following topics:

July 24: Summer Get Together and Eating Strategies:
Summer get togethers can be a challenge for our waistband.
Chips and dips, potato salads and alcohol are all staples in our summer get togethers. Social outings are fun but can also get in the way of health goals. There are steps you can take like bringing your own healthy dish or  switching the type of alcohol you choose. Come learn more helpful tips to keep your waistband from expanding

July 31: Debunking Myths of Fad Diets
It feels like everyday a new diet comes out. All of this information can get confusing in trying to figure out what diet may be best for you. Come learn about each and the myths and facts that go along with them.

August 7: Safe Interval Training and the 7-Minute Workout
There are lots of benefits to interval training but what is the safe way to be doing it? Come learn the basics behind interval workouts and how exercising only 7 minutes a day will benefit you.

August 14: State Fair Tips
Minnesotans favorite past time can be a disaster for our nutrition plan. Come get tips on what are the best and worst foods to pick. We can have fun but still be healthy!
