How to Receive a Body Treatment

Therapeutic Massage is found in all cultures as an integrated part of health care. Massage treatments provide relaxation, increased circulation and energizing enjoyment. Our staff of licensed massage therapists are at your service offering the finest services available.

  • Swedish- Swedish massage is the basis of several more specialized forms of massage and bodywork. It is a soft tissue manipulation that uses five basic strokes of the Swedish technique. The firm, deep, stimulating pressure creates relaxation. Swedish massage aids in the blood and lymph circulation and promotes faster healing, increased body mobility and overall wellness.
  • Sports- Athletes can schedule Sports Massage before or after their event. Pre-event massage is a quick treatment used as an adjunct to warm-up. It increases circulation and flexibility, preparing you for maximum performance with fewer injuries. Post-event massage helps keep pain, soreness and depression to a minimum. Through relaxation and increased circulation, it prevents spasms and quickly removes metabolic wastes.
  • Esalan- A lighter form of therapeutic massage, Esalen integrates the body, mind and spirit, using long flowing strokes to gently relax the body's soft tissue.
  • Trigger Point Therapy- Releases myofascial tissue through soft, deep contact with pressure points that refer pain. It is always used in conjunction with other therapeutic massage.
  • Neuromuscular- Neuromuscular Therapy focuses on the relationship between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system. It interrupts the pain/ contraction cycle in muscles, increasing circulation and decreasing nerve stimulation using flushing, trigger point therapy, cross-fiber friction and stretching. Neuromuscular practitioners have knowledge of anatomy and muscle palpation.
  • Shiatsu- Shiatsu is based on principles of Oriental medicine. It is a method of balancing the Chi Life Force energy by stretching and applying pressure along the Chi meridians (energy pathways). It is very relaxing and may be received fully clothed.
Medical Massage
  • Craniosacral- The quality of your craniosacral system (the bones, membranes and fluid of the skill, spine and sacrum can indicate dysfunction or restriction. Through the release of imbalances in this system can bring your body back to normal and leave you with a sense of deep relaxation. It is used to treat chronic neck and back pain, migraines, inflammatory conditions, TMJ, depression, anxiety and stress. Client may remain clothed.
  • Myofascial Release- This is a hands-on, whole body approach that stretches and releases the tough connective tissue in the body known as fascia. This connective tissue web becomes bound down following injury or stress.
  • Lymph Drainage- The body's lymph system transports proteins, foreign bodies, pathogenic substances (toxins) and other components out of the body. The fragile lymph run just beneath the skin's surface. Lymph drainage is a very gentle pumping of this system to encourage increased rate and amplitude of return. It is beneficial for pre and post joint replacement surgeries, fibrosis, inflammatory conditions, pain relief, and many forms of edema.
Marsh Stone Therapy

Stone Therapy goes beyond the physical experience of the typical massage and enters deeper dimensions of relaxation, health and well-being through the application of thermotherapy. Heated stones and cooled marble are placed on the body and used with massage strokes. This encouraged blood flow to the skin, muscles, and internal organs to bring about balance and healing.
