Orthopedic and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs

The Marsh offers excellent cardiovascular and orthopedic rehabilitation programs to assist individuals in their transition from supervised physical therapy to independent exercise over a period of three months or less. This is set up as a Short Term Marsh membership. The actual length of program depends on each client’s progress, compliance and attendance. After three months, clients are asked to consult with their primary care physician or referring physician before returning for further reconditioning.

Enrollment Requirements
1.  Physician referral
2.  Evaluation by a physical therapist

Intake Process
Client will have an initial consultation and assessment with a cardiologist or exercise physiologist, to include:
* EKG Stress Test
* Complete range-of-motion and strength evaluation using inclinometry and manual muscle testing
* Review of Medical History and Treatnment
* Goal setting and Program Recommendations
Program Package
* Four 45-minute program appointments per month with an exercise specialist utilizing aquatic and/or land-based protocols (Therapy Pool, Pilates, Training Center). The facilitator will choose the  
  appropriate mode of exercise.
* Access to training center, pools (lap, therapy, Japanese), indoor and outdoor tracks during all open hours.
* Participation in studio and pool classes (appropriate level).
* Marsh Member rates on additional services and programs, including acupuncture, massage, and nutrition programs

Post Assessment
Complete EKG Stress Test, range-of-motion and strength evaluation using inclinometry and manual muscle testing.

Cost
$550/month
