Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Eight-week Series
Mondays, October 22 – December 10, 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Full-day Retreat on December 1, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Positive Psychology and Being Happy

Most people know that positive thinking and positive psychology are not the same for one simple reason: we live a dynamic life where “stuff happens”. It is not always pretty, but positive psychology offers that “we can make the best of whatever happens.” This six-week series presents both the research and experiential practice of what works to cultivate a positive psychology. It is a program for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of and commitment to what is called “healthy mindedness.” Instructors: Debbie Cohen and Liz Anema. The Marsh's Mindfulness Based Living Program
The benefits of a meditation practice are often touted as a habit of happy people who mention it as a means of coping with stress and anxiety and their ability to live more joyfully. But where does one begin? This four-week program offered exclusively at The Marsh, introduces you to a variety of mindfulness-based living practices in a highly accessible way. Nature plays a role in many meditative practices and we will utilize our outdoor space.
