Mindfulness Based Living… Back-to-School

The first day of school is filled with excitement and perhaps a little stress. The transition from summer to school schedules can be challenging, both for parents and educators. Having each day start calmly helps the day go more smoothly for everyone. This workshop explores a variety of mindfulness practices that can be used at home or in the classroom.
Explore the power of intention, breathwork, gentle movement and techniques that can be used year-round. Instructor: Liz Anema.

Mindfulness Based Living
The Marsh’s exclusive Mindfulness Based Living program is a structured course, rooted in Jon Kabat-Zinn’s MBSR teachings, that uniquely integrates 30 years of mind-body work at The Marsh. You will learn the skills to consciously handle life’s stresses and challenges, and develop your innate sense to more effectively cope, relax, understand and cultivate “moment-to-moment, non-judgmental awareness” for enhanced well-being. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), meditation offerings and retreats. MBSR, the renowned program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, is the practice of mindfulness through meditation, hatha yoga, and gentle movement in everyday life to optimize our capacity to cope with stress, pain and illness across the lifespan.
