Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Eight-week Series
Mondays, January 28 – March 18, 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a full-day Retreat on Saturday, March 9, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Whether you are seeking to feel less overwhelmed, more purposeful, less angry or more joyful, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is an experience that will positively impact your life. Taught by MBSR instructor Terry Pearson, this eight-week series teaches you simple techniques to help you deal with stress, pain, illness and the challenges of everyday life. An Introduction to Positive Psychology
Sunday, March 10, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – A happier, healthier life is available to you. We are learning more and more ways where a positive mindset, or optimism, can improve both our physiology and our feelings. Join us as we explore the science of optimal functioning, which focuses on what works rather than what is wrong, in order to create a life of greater health, happiness, meaning and overall well-being. You will be introduced to a variety of tools, practices and attitudes that can make a profound difference in your life! Instructor, Debbie Cohen, is a graduate of the esteemed Applied Positive Psychology program from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught Positive Psychology at Harvard and Kripalu Yoga Center. The Marsh's Mindfulness Based Living Program
4-week series: Mondays, April 1, 8, 22, 29, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. – The benefits of a meditation practice are often touted as a habit of happy people who mention it as a means of coping with stress and anxiety and their ability to live more joyfully. But where does one begin? This four-week program offered exclusively at The Marsh, introduces you to a variety of mindfulness-based living practices in a highly accessible way.
