About Kari Oxford, Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor
Kari Oxford started her fitness career as a Fitness Instructor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1990. While pursuing a degree in Biology with a minor in Exercise Science, she taught aerobic conditioning, step aerobics, weight training for women and stretching classes for administrative staff. In 2005, after a difficult recovery from the Cesarean birth of her third child, Kari was introduced to GYROTONIC®. Kari holds a Foundation Teacher Certificate through GYROTONIC® International. Kari’s qualifications include Life Power Yoga Teacher 200 HR Certification, Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certification and a Personal Trainer Certification through the American Council on Exercise and Red Cross CPR. How GYROTONIC® Keeps You Feeling Young

GYROTONIC® for New Moms
GYROTONIC® is a wonderful exercise for new mother’s or those who are caring for the very young. The movements of cuddling, carrying, lifting, stooping, kneeling…all can make us feel like the body is being overcome by gravity! GYROTONIC® allows for us to exercise the spine in all the ways that the spine can move… extension, rotation, extension with rotation, flexion with rotation and lateral flexion.
