Friday, 01/18/2019 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Friday, January 18, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Millions of people want to manage their chronic condition without using opioids. They often turn to physical activity to get relief from their pain – in particular, aquatic therapy. The buoyant property of water alleviates the stress of gravity, while making movement feel easier, cushioned and safe. Additionally, the pressure the water exerts on our body provides stability to our joints, helps reduce swelling and improves the strength of our muscles, heart and lungs. The warm water improves blood flow and reduces muscle spasm.

Aquatic specialist Mary LeSourd has over 20 years of experience helping people get relief from their chronic pain. Join her for this special workshop where she will share simple techniques to ease pain.
