In 2017, the American Heart Association updated its guidelines to define high blood pressure as a reading higher than 130/80, down from the original 140/90. Almost half of all Americans have heart disease, with 80% of these cases linked to blood pressure. The good news? Lifestyle changes are very effective in lowering blood pressure in the 130-140 systolic range. Stop in the Training Center anytime or stay after the Lunch and Learn for a complimentary blood pressure check and to discuss helpful lifestyle.
